SAGA
2021
Series of five digital photographs.

Following along the lines of Bassenget, Saga also seeks to defy the more conventional characteristics of the photographic image. Consisting of five close-up shots, the images of Saga lie at the very edge of abstraction.
The photographs are sequential, having been taken one after the other in a single panoramic motion. The landscape overlaps slightly from image to image, establishing a continuity. A new horizon is drawn — a common thread uniting the five photographs — and a narrative emerges. This stream of images evokes both an unfolded map and an open book. It is a tale, it is the saga of the infinitely small, a story woven together by the staging of the microscopic.
